Ok, so i had moderate/high acne since i was 17 im 19 now btw, anyways i mostly got rid of that.. just alot of red marks, and blemishes… with uneven skin tones, and alot of clogged pores… My skin texture is very very rough looking man,, my face looks like sand paper under flourscent light lol.. anyways my friend and i are thinking about going to a day spa or something to do Microdermabrasion… has anyone tried this?? should i do it???

After reading up on microdermabrasion it sounds like all it does is remove dead skin cells – or at most the top layer of skin. Surely this is the same as any facial scrub you can buy in the shops and use for daily cleansing? Or does it do something special that I haven’t heard about?

I’m a 20 yr old female with sensitive, soft, oily acne prone skin. I have old deep acne scars. My face is very pitted. I have had microdermabrasion many times, but it has only improved slightly and the scars are vey noticeable. What is the best treatment to smotth them down and make them less noticeable?
I get a professional facial about once every 3 months and Im never satisfied with the results concerning my pores. I’ve told the ladies who do the facials what my concerns are about the gunk in my pores but they never have told me about microdermabrasion. Regardless of what anyone will probably say, I am using both Loreal microdermabrasion exfoliator and Dr, Varons chemical peel on my face in a week period. I was just wondering if using these both right after each other, ( the mircrodermabrasion and then the chemical peel) would even give better results then just taking them a day apart from each other. Does anyone know?
Also, Dr VARONS chemical peel is supposed to be used on your face for 15 minutes at a time. So does leaving it on your face for a longer amount of time cancel what the chemical peel does on your your face if you were only to leave it on for 15 minutes? Or does leaving it on longer only enhance what it is trying to do to your face in a 15 minute amount of time? Does anybody know? Can anyone help me figure this out?
